The Law Foundation of British Columbia has an opening for two students for full-time positions for the period of May to August 2020. These positions are at the Law Foundation’s offices located in downtown Vancouver and are only open to law students who will be continuing their JD studies in the fall of 2020. The positions are under the supervision of the executive director and entail supporting Law Foundation staff in doing research, supporting program directors, and generally assisting in the running of the Law Foundation. The focus of the positions is primarily on research and policy matters, though the particulars vary from year to year.
We encourage applications from members of communities that are marginalized or that experience structural discrimination, including those identifying as Indigenous, people of colour, members of non-dominant ethnic, religious, linguistic, and/or cultural groups, women, (im)migrants/newcomers, people with (dis)abilities, persons of minority sexual orientations and gender identities, and we encourage applicants to self-identify in their application if they feel comfortable in doing so. The Law Foundation is committed to excellence and recognizes that increasing the diversity of our staff, and especially our leadership, supports this objective.
