The Law Foundation of British Columbia requires a Program Director.
The Law Foundation distributes interest on lawyers’ pooled trust accounts. Grants totaling $15 to $20 million annually fund legal aid, legal education, legal research, law reform and law library programs and projects in BC.
The Program Director is responsible, as part of the staff team, for the assessment, administration and monitoring of grant applications as well as ongoing work with Law Foundation continuing programs, Board Committees and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a legal background and have an understanding of, and experience with, access to justice issues. Good writing skills, and the ability to understand financial statements are important. Experience working with non-profit groups or in a grant-making organization will be helpful.
